Rotary projects around the globe

Rotary projects for March 2026 focus on community empowerment, education, and health, highlighted by initiatives in the UK, Nigeria, and Norway. Key projects include supporting youth development, fostering international cultural exchange, and implementing sustainable local services to address regional needs.

Here are highlights of what some Rotary clubs are doing around the world:

  • United Kingdom (Maidenhead Bridge): The Rotary Club of Maidenhead Bridge held a cultural event celebrating Indian culture, featuring Bollywood-connected artists, which raised roughly $2200 for service projects.

  • Nigeria: A featured progress report highlights the "Together for Healthy Families in Nigeria" initiative, continuing to focus on maternal and child health.

  • Norway (Halden): A club project, in partnership with local banks and foundations, supports the "Windjammer" program, offering resources and mentoring to young people through sailing.

  • USA (Chicago): The Rotary Club of Chicago Six Corners is hosting a March 8, 2026, event in honor of International Women and Girls Day to empower women from underserved communities.

In addition, Rotary continues to strengthen its global reach with new peace centers, such as in India, and focusing on digital and educational advancements, including workshops and vocational training in the Philippines.

These projects demonstrate the commitment of Rotary clubs worldwide to taking action on local and international issues in early 2026.
