This past Memorial Day Weekend, Rotarians from Upper Main Line, Paoli-Malvern-Berwyn, Ardmore, Wayne, King of Prussia and West Chester Sunrise Clubs pitched in with donations and volunteers to host a picnic for the residents at the Coatesville VA Medical Center.
The Upper Main Line Rotary Club spearheaded the event and brought together almost 50 volunteers to provide food and fun for the resident patients of the Medical Center. In addition to serving the 100+ guests hotdogs, hamburgers, homemade macaroni and cheese, baked beans, broccoli and potato salads, and other snacks, a group of Rotarians also took time to plant planters located outside the residences.

Guests were also treated to "Rotary Supports Veterans" hats and shirts, as well as a raffle of various prizes.
In addition to the donations from the clubs, we would like to thank The Gundaker Foundation for a matching grant through the Rotary Club of Paoli-Malvern-Berwyn.
Thank you to all those who participated so our heroes could enjoy a memorable day of food, fun, and fellowship.
