Rotary International has officially chartered the Rotaract Club of Philadelphia, which will bring service and social opportunities to those aged 18–30.

A special kickoff event is being planned for late October. "It will be our first opportunity to introduce our newly chartered club to the community and welcome prospective members," says KC Chun, of sponsor club Philadelphia Rotary.

Rotaract Clubs are for young people where members develop leadership and professional skills, build relationships and have fun while serving the community. Rotaract Clubs are formed at colleges, universities, or a local community around the world. Rotaract is sponsored by local Rotary Clubs for guidance but are self-governing and self-supporting. There are more than 162,000 Rotaract members in 10,000 clubs in 183 countries.

The core group of founders of the Philadelphia Rotary has had experience with Interact, Rotaract, and Rotary in other places and were eager to see a Rotaract club take shape in this part of Pennsylvania. Follow the new Philadelphia Rotaract Club on Instagram HERE.
